The Area Health Education Center (AHEC) at University of Cincinnati, formally HEALTH-UC, serves Region VI of the Ohio Statewide AHEC Program. Our service area includes Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, Highland and Warren counties. Funding for the UC AHEC comes from the Bureau of Health Workforce (BHW) Health Resources and Services Administration of the US Department of Health and Human Services HHS) and the State of Ohio General Revenue Fund.
The AHEC Program is a multi-disciplinary, interprofessional program that seeks to enhance primary and preventive healthcare in our underserved rural and urban communities.
