It is the College of Medicine Office of Research’s mission to elevate the research success of the CoM by empowering faculty with innovative and effective programs of support, recognition, and reward. Our vision is to build and sustain a vibrant community of biomedical researchers who boldly advance care and lifestyle improvement.
Our office manages all aspects of the support, recognition, and reward of the College’s research mission by investing in internal funding opportunities, recognition awards, scientific writing, grant pre-review, and grant support. Besides the operational aspects of the research mission, the Office’s purview includes graduate education, research core infrastructure, clinical trials, medical student research, communication of research opportunities, and input to pre-and post-award activities. Our office serves in the recruitment of research faculty, sets research goals, and tracks research metrics. We provide direction for the strategic research plan of the College and serve as representatives of the College’s research mission.
