Clinical Research Professionals (CRP) Track

The Master of Science in Clinical & Translational Research - Clinical Research Professionals track (MSCTR-CRP) is designed specifically for clinical research professionals who coordinate, manage, and lead collaborative research projects and clinical trials.

Applicants to the MSCTR-CRP program should possess at least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in the sciences, with a minimum 3.0 or equivalent GPA.

Depending on an applicant’s educational background and work experience, he or she may be required to complete one or more prerequisites in Physiology. If the Admissions Committee determines an applicant does not have a strong science background, the applicant will be required to complete Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology (BIOL-1015) or Anatomy & Physiology I (BIOL-2001C) before beginning MSCTR-CRP coursework.

Applications can be submitted at any time throughout the year and, upon acceptance, students can begin the program in any semester.

The deadlines are:

  • Fall Semester: August 1
  • Spring Semester: November 15
  • Summer Semester: June 1

The following materials are required from all applicants:

  1. Graduate College Application select the application that reads: Clinical & Translational Research-Clinical Research Professional, Master of Science
  2. 3-5 professional career goals relating to the field of clinical research
  3. Personal Summary: a one-page statement of how your current professional experience relates to the field of clinical research, and how being accepted into this program will enhance your career goals within this field. 
  4. Current CV/Resume/Biosketch
  5. Three Professional References: You will be asked to enter information for each of your professional references as part of the Graduate School application. The references will then receive an email with their login information and a link where they can upload a letter of recommendation/respond to a series of questions about you. Your references should contact the DEPHS Graduate Office at ehgrad@uc.edu if they have questions.
  6. GRE: Only applicants with a combined undergraduate or graduate GPA of less than 3.0 will be required to submit a GRE score, taken within the last five years. Please contact the DEPHS Graduate Office at ehgrad@uc.edu for waiver options.
  7. English Proficiency Requirements
  8. Unofficial transcript(s) from all colleges/universities where you received a degree. These will be uploaded into the application system. 
  9. Official transcripts from all colleges/universities where you received a degree are required if you are offered admission to the University.  Please review the policy on Transcript Submission.
  10. All international applicants are required to submit a transcript evaluation from a NACES member organization with their application in order to be considered for admission. Please review the policy on Transcript Submission or contact Graduate Admissions with questions.
