Matriculate Information

The medical physics program at the University of Cincinnati has enjoyed a long history of granting the MS degree.  In the approximate fifty years of granting the MS degree, the program has granted more than one hundred degrees with the great majority of graduates serving as therapeutic medical physicists in cancer centers. 

Due to recent changes in the American Board of Radiology requirements for entry into the boarding process, the program was converted in 2014 to grant the Doctorate of Medical Physics (DMP) degree. The DMP combines the didactic teaching and clinical training into a cohesive and comprehensive four-year program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs. The DMP is excellent preparation for a clinical career in therapeutic medical physics.

Below are the recent statistics with regard to the program.  The 2014-2015 statistics reflect the matriculation of the first class of Doctorate of Medical Physics (DMP) students. No students graduated in 2015 or 2016 due to the transition from the MS to the DMP program.
