Nominations Due: 8am on Monday, November 13, 2023
Nominations will be accepted for a College of Medicine full-time Instructor or Assistant Professor who demonstrates outstanding commitment to health-related research. The successful nominee will be in the top tier of career benchmarks among peers. When making a nomination, please consider the following:
Publication record and impact of the publications
Extramural funding record if applicable
Recognition as an expert in his or her research area, as evidenced by invited presentations at national or international meetings or venues, recognition by and service with sponsors or professional societies, or other means of recognition
Additional attributes that set the nominee above his or her peer group
To be considered, the nominating application must be in the form of a single pdf that includes the following:
Cover page (include nominee’s name, email address, professional title, and department)
A detailed letter from a Department Chair or Division Director stating why the faculty member deserves to be recognized
Nominee’s CV- Highlight all relevant content in the CV
No additional documents will be accepted.
The cover page, nomination letter, and CV should be submitted through the online portal no later than 8am Monday, November 13, 2023. Faculty at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center are not eligible to apply.
The award recipient will receive college wide recognition and honored at the Research Recognition Awards Ceremony in 2024. Recipients of College of Medicine Office of Research awards are expected to assist the Office when requested (i.e. providing grant reviews, attending College of Medicine events, etc.) Previous Research Rising Star awardees are not eligible to apply.
