About the Division

The UC Division of General Internal Medicine is committed to the tripartite mission of medical education, clinical excellence and research, as well as service to our community.

We have an expansive footprint at the College of Medicine with 67 members including clinical and research faculty as well as our advanced practice providers. We have clinical, educational and research activities conducted at the 

University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, UC Health University Hospital, UC Health Primary Care Network (PCN), Cincinnati Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

Our division faculty serve as clinical educators and researchers providing direct patient care in our outpatient settings as well as providing substantial education to our medical students and resident learners. We continue to serve as Attendings on the Inpatient Internal Medicine ward service which involves innovative bedside rounds with an interdisciplinary team.

Clinical areas of research involve medical education, addiction medicine, atrial fibrillation, headaches, anticoagulation therapy, population health, obesity, sickle cell disease and transitional care for adults with disorders from childhood.
