In addition, members of our team collaborate with endocrinologists and cardiologists and other specialists to provide multidisciplinary care to patients with diabetes or heart disease in an effort to prevent the progression of kidney disease. We also partner with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center to provide a continuum of kidney care during the pediatric-to-adult transition.
Our dedicated teams provide expert inpatient consultative care at UCMC, Westchester and Drake hospital locations. Additionally, we provide an array of outpatient care across the Greater Cincinnati area including Northern Kentucky, and Southern Indiana. We also provide critical complex services to patients with end-stage kidney disease to many of the region's rural hospitals.
We are renowned for our expertise and majority of our physicians have been consistently named among the Best Doctors in America and Cincinnati Magazine’s Top Docs.
In partnership with the department of surgery at UC, the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension provides transplant services for patients with or without a compatible organ donor. Our transplant nephrologists screen patients, prepare them for transplant and carefully manage their care post-transplant.
Transplant surgeries are performed at UC Health’s University of Cincinnati Medical Center, the area's only adult Level I Trauma Center, and multi-solid organ transplant center, which is consistently ranked in U.S. News & World Report's annual guide to America's Best Hospitals.
