Joseph Joubert once said, "To teach is to learn twice over."

What he knew 200 years ago has been shown to be true in research on adult learning. Often the most effective way to learn something is to teach it.

Our Senior Prep embodies this principle.

Weesner Prep is a time for you to ask "why?" and deeply understand the reasons behind treatment decisions. The cases are calibrated to residents at a higher level of training in an effort to flesh out the nuance of advanced clinical decision making.

After the session, you should be able to spend the next week teaching your teams in preparation for Academic Half Day.

Additional senior resident specific education happens during second and third year in our Board Review Course that includes testing and review of a different topic monthly with a faculty expert.
